Ingredients

Rolled oats:

  • 2 cups

Honey (or maple syrup/agave for vegan option):

  • 1/2 cup

Nut butter (peanut, almond, or cashew):

  • 1/3 cup

Chopped nuts (almonds, walnuts, pecans):

  • 1/4 cup

Dried fruits (raisins, cranberries, apricots):

  • 1/4 cup

Seeds (chia, flax, sunflower):

  • 1/4 cup

Chocolate chips:

  • 1/4 cup

Cinnamon or vanilla extract (optional):

  • 1/2 tsp

Instructions

Prepare the Dry Ingredients:

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, chopped nuts, dried fruits, seeds, and chocolate chips. Mix well.

Heat the Wet Ingredients:

  • In a small saucepan, gently warm the honey and nut butter over low heat. Stir constantly until the mixture is smooth and well combined.

Combine and Mix:

  • Pour the warm honey-nut butter mixture over the dry ingredients. Stir thoroughly to coat everything evenly.

Press into a Pan:

  • Line an 8x8-inch baking dish with parchment paper. Transfer the granola mixture into the dish and press it down firmly.

Chill to Set:

  • Refrigerate the mixture for at least 1 hour to set.

Slice and Serve:

  • Once firm, lift the parchment paper out of the dish and slice the mixture into 12 bars.
