Ingredients

Gluten-Free Spaghetti:

  • 12 ounces

Olive Oil:

  • 2 tablespoons

Garlic:

  • 3 cloves minced

Fresh Tomatoes:

  • 4 cups diced (or 1 can of crushed tomatoes)

Fresh Basil:

  • 1/2 cup chopped (plus extra for garnish)

Parmesan Cheese:

  • 1/2 cup grated (for serving)

Salt:

  • to taste

Black Pepper:

  • to taste

Red Pepper Flakes:

  • optional to taste

Instructions

Cook the Pasta:

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the gluten-free spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Marinara Sauce:

  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  • Add the diced fresh tomatoes (or crushed tomatoes) to the skillet. Stir well and let it simmer for about 10 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
  • Stir in the chopped fresh basil and season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using) to taste.

Combine Pasta and Sauce:

  • Add the drained gluten-free spaghetti to the skillet with the marinara sauce. Toss gently to combine, ensuring the pasta is well coated with the sauce.

Serve:

  • Divide the spaghetti into bowls. Garnish with additional fresh basil and grated Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately and enjoy!
